A day that everyone will remember; September 11, 2001. It started when nineteen terrorists boarded four different flights. These planes were headed for many high value buildings in the United States, specifically the Pentagon, the Twin Towers, and one was crashed by passengers in a field. These attacks were one of the deadliest in U.S. history as almost 3,000 people died, most of them in New York City.
Flight 11 was the first to transmit an emergency message about being hijacked. Betty Ang Ong, a flight attendant, called the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) detailing the situation by saying “the cockpit’s not answering. Somebody’s stabbed in business class. And I think there’s mace-that we can’t breathe. I don’t know. I think we’re getting hijacked.” Immediately after, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) is alerted and sends out fighter jets, but it’s too late, the North Tower has been hit at 8:46AM. Robert Leder worked in the North Tower as the tragedy developed, and he says “I was looking outside the window, facing the Empire State Building, when I saw the plane coming into the building.”
As the first responders arrive at the scene, Flight 175 is headed directly for the South Tower. Then, at 9:03AM the aircraft crashes into the tower. At this point the FAA bans all traffic in and around New York City, but with little thought to what will happen next. Shortly after, Flight 77 is headed for the Pentagon, crashing at 9:37 killing everyone on board and 125 people on the ground. Immediately after, the FAA grounds all flight in the Unites States and evacuates all high value buildings.
The final flight, Flight 93 is hijacked and is crashed by the passengers in a field outside of Pennsylvania. The, the South Tower collapses at 9:59AM followed by the North Tower at 10:28AM. This causes tremendous loss of life in New York and leaves the city in total chaos. Thousands of lives are lost including those of first responders helping the victims of this horrific disaster.
Today, there are two pools in memory of the 9/11 Attacks that shook New Yorkers and the world. At the same location there is a museum with many artifacts of this dreaded day in memory of September 11, 2001. These events have left a huge footstep that Americans will never forget. In these days security is tougher and most of the access to places requires security screening. The United States is really trying to prevent these kinds of attacks from happening again.

These sources contain a lot of information. The first source provides information about how the President dealt with the situation and how he expressed himself. The Second Source provides information about the attacks as well as the fourth source. The fourth source really describes all the events that happened. the third source gives an interactive timeline of all the events that happened.
The primary sources were first hand reactions of people and how they dealt with the situation, whereas the secondary sources just summarized all of them while giving more detail about the events. The secondary sources contain many excerpts from the primary sources to support their story. I knew that they were credible as some of them were government sources and some of them i checked with different sources to verify the information.
The language differed as some of them were written more formal and others where written in a way that everyone could understand. The structures were different as well because of the different writing styles. Some of them where with pictures and some of them were just text. This varied because some of them were blogs and some of them were descriptions of a timeline.
The point of view differed as some where eye witness accounts and some were just a description fo events. The ones that were first hand POV would be written in the first person or in the third person. The others were written in no POV as they were describing the events. All of them were useful as they provided a lot of information about the events. They had different descriptions from different people. They helped me understand the topic in more detail and gave me more of an in depth idea of the events that unfolded.
